Have any of you ever watched the brilliant Top Gear? This show is one of the best shows on the BBC at the moment and I was so excited when I noticed that this Sunday a brand new series is starting.

But I was watching a re-run on another channel when I saw May test a car. He had to get from one end of Liverpool to the Liver building in the centre. And his opponent?

Two (very good looking) guys who were going to run.

Unfair, I hear you cry and you would be right. May had no hope at all in the car. The guys Parkoured their way to victory much to May's constination and my amusement.

Parkour is an excellent new sport invented in France. Very much like Free Running, in both the participants use the urban and rural areas to perform stunts and aesthetically pleasing shapes to get from one place to another. Typically Parkour is more efficient while Free Running is more about the freedom of movement. It is the most exciting sport I have ever come across and I am completely hooked. I can't get enough.

If any of you have seen the James Bond movie 'Casino Royale' you must all remember the opening sequence when Bond is chasing that man (suspected of something that I can't remember but I am sure it was bad) through a construction site. That man is Sébastien Foucan one of the first Free Runners in the world and I can't wait till his book is out. That is one I will definitely be buying.



Sadly I think it will be a while before I can do that!
